Batman

Another frequently asked questions, is about Batman. He is he a real or true Martial Artist? What is his martial background? Is it true that Bruce is trained in over 127 styles? Here is some of what we heard about him.

At a very young age, Bruce Wayne trained in boxing with Ted Grant.

Received training under, an old martial art master Kirigi, who comments that Bruce has a “natural genius for mastering combat techniques” due to the great violent nature inside him.

Trained 9 months "somewhere in the Himalayas" with Shihan Matsusa, known to be one of the greatest zen warrior monks.

Learned Kung-Fu from old grand master Chu Chin Li, who deemed Bruce as his “favorite student”.

Trained with assassin Tsunemoto of the Yakuza, who teaches him how to anticipate his opponents attacks against various enemies plus the secret of spiritual healing arts. Tsunemoto also comments that Bruce was his best student.

David Cain taught Batman many forms of martial arts, including weapon mastery, and combat tactics. In addition, he trained in unknown combat arts that he learned from an unknown female teacher.

We know this does not add up to 127, but it is obvious that there is a significant amount of Martial Arts training Batman has done. We know there is much more which we will add when we can confirm their source.

Elektra Natchios

Elektra Natchios first appeared in Daredevil #168 (January 1981) by Marvel Comics. She is an independent agent as a highly-trained assassin. Her primary abilities are a strong knowledge of martial arts and weaponry.
